Coming Soon: Laserfiche Version 8.0!

Newport News, VA - December 7, 2006 - Laserfiche Version 8.0 will be released for general distribution in the Summer of 2007. You may think that it is a little early to talk about something that is six months off, but there are some exciting features in this new version.
The most exciting part of the new release is the tighter integration with the Windows operating environment. Tighter integration means that you will be able to “Save to Laserfiche” and “Open from Laserfiche” from third-party applications, hyperlink to documents in Laserfiche and be able to search Laserfiche outside of the client.
Other enhancements include:
- Additional functionality and viewing capabilities for the browser client.
- The template index field will support multiple indexes in the same field.
- Integration between Quick Fields and Workflow will enhance the ability to initially automate a workflow routine.
- Workflow will come with a scripting tool to create more complex rules and Workflow will work independently from the Laserfiche engine allowing for flexibility outside of Laserfiche.
