Reams is Laserfiche VAR of the Month!

Newport News, VA - December 5, 2006 - Reams Document Imaging was the Laserfiche VAR of the Year from the inception of the award in 1999 until 2002. After a period of more modest growth, the company is once again among the leading Laserfiche VARs and appears to be taking dead aim at regaining the top spot--if not this year then next.
"We're positioned for strong growth thanks primarily to the support we get from our loyal base of local government customers," says Joe Kennedy, the firm's Vice President/Marketing and Sales. "They trust us to give them excellent value when we add to their solutions and are a great source of new business referrals. Over the last two years, we are also benefiting from significant growth in the commercial sector."
Kennedy feels that Laserfiche stands out for Reams' customers because of its scalability. "Our local government customers in particular know that they can add to their solutions whenever they have budget without having to change anything else." As a case in point, he cites Reams' recent work with an existing local government customer. "They were moving all the departments in their Community Development area--Planning, Engineering, Building Inspections etc--to a brand new building," he explains. "They asked us to develop business processes to eliminate paper processing in the new space. This was uniquely challenging because of we needed to coordinate every move we made with so many departments. In the end, the project was a resounding success."
As Reams moves forward, they do so adhering to a corporate mission statement that stresses serving customers with the "utmost integrity." Within that framework, their stated goal for the next five years is, "to grow into a nationally recognized computer solutions company providing content management and workflow technology to organizations that rely on many types of documents to perform their core business processes."
A division of Unity Business Systems, Reams Document Imaging is based in Newport News, VA. In addition to Kennedy, the management team includes Carl Long, president of Reams Document Imaging and Unity Business Systems, and Brain Sabin, Vice President/Operations.
